Full-time, tenure-track positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels
The department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Bridgeport invites applications for full-time, tenure-track positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels, to start in August 2009.
Candidates for tenure-track positions must have a Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
A strong interest in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and an excellent research record are required.
Applicants are sought in the areas of Bio-Engineering, Bio-Informatics, Bio-Medical Imaging, and Wireless/Mobile Communication. However, excellent candidates in other areas in Computer Science will be seriously considered.
The department of Computer Science and Engineering is one of four departments in the School of Engineering , and has 18 full-time and part-time faculty members.
The B.S. program in computer engineering is accredited by ABET, and M.S. in computer science is the fastest growing such graduate program in New England area.
The department offers Ph.D. degree program in Computer Science and Engineering that is the third doctoral program among any engineering schools in Connecticut .
Initial closing date of applications is February 27, 2009, and applications received by this date will receive full consideration.
