The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of California, Riverside invites applications for TWO faculty positions at all levels with research interests in Systems and Data Mining/Machine Learning. Exceptional candidates in all areas will be considered. Tenured and tenure-track positions require a Ph.D. in Computer Science (or in a
closely related field) at the time of employment.  Senior candidates must have an exceptional research, teaching, and graduate student mentorship record. Junior candidates must show outstanding research, teaching and graduate student mentorship potential. Salary level will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers B.S. degrees in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Computer Engineering, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science. The Department currently has 20 faculty
members that include five ACM/IEEE/AAAS Fellows, and eight Young Investigator/CAREER award holders. The department is heavily focused towards Ph.D. education with over 120 Ph.D. and 30 M.S. students enrolled in the 2009-10 academic year. We graduate around 20 Ph.D.s per year with an average yearly research expenditure of $3.5M. More information on the
