Invitation to all Postdoctoral Researchers to submit abstracts at
The Global Young Investigators Forum at 36th International Conference on Advanced Ceramics and Composites (ICACC 2012)
Daytona Beach, FL
January 22-27th 2012
The call for papers for the ICACC2012 is opened and all Argonne Postdoctoral and Graduate Researchers are invited to submit their abstracts to the first Global Young Investigators Forum on Frontiers in Science and Technology of Ceramic Materials.
The first Global Young Investigators Forum is meant to facilitate scientific discussions among young researchers and the exchange of ideas essential to identify emerging global challenges at the interface of physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, material research and engineering. Young researches below 35 years of age are invited to join this event to share and discuss their recent results in form of brief presentation, which will be followed by discussions. This forum will help to establish global co-operations and networks among young scientists to approach future challenges in ceramic science and technology. This interdisciplinary workshop will cover, but is not limited to the following thematic areas:
• Frontiers in ceramic chemistry
- New precursors for functional ceramics
- Chemical and physical functionalisation of ceramics
- Ceramics and catalysis
• Frontiers in hybrid materials and composites
- Hybrid sensors and actuators
- Biological and medical applications
- Energy generation and storage, photocatalysis
- Novel electronic and piezoelectronic materials. Printable electronics
- Graphene-based materials and devices
- TCO, LED and LCD materials and technologies
- Innovative surfaces and display technologies
- NEMS and MEMS devices
• Young researchers’ mobility and networks
Our goal is to get at about 40 (or more) young scientist together to have some fruitful discussions in Daytona Beach, so the more colleagues and friends are interested in participating, the better.
Please forward the abstracts of your contribution and the other presentations by Friday, July 15th, 2011. The guidelines for abstracts and more information can be found at the conference website:
