Postdoctoral Appointees - Job Opportunities
The Director will be the instructor of record for lower division general laboratories (CHEM 101/3L, 354) for the academic year and both summer sessions.
S/He will prepare for and assist in the upper division physical and instrumental laboratories (CHEM 309L, 391 and 392). S/He also will supervise two laboratory specialists in the administration of all teaching laboratories, revise and insure timely publication of all laboratory manuals and coordinate with the Department Administrator for the assignment of graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants.
The Director will also maintain and diagnose/repair departmental teaching and research instrumentation, assist faculty with research involving instrumentation and instrument purchasing and provide support for facility issues. S/He will supervise instrument scheduling and student training on instrumentation and assist in instrument procurement and replacement, as needed.
