The Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Rochester invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2011.
Applicants are expected to have earned Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering or related discipline(s) and should show outstanding research potential.
The position is open to applicants at all ranks. A joint appointment with Biomedical Engineering or within the School of Medicine and Dentistry is also possible.
The candidate is expected to develop an internationally recognized research program, that leverages existing University and departmental strengths. All research areas will be considered; however, emerging research areas that are particularly attractive include energy, bioengineering, advanced materials and nanotechology. Applicants should show promise of excellence in teaching chemical engineering courses.
