Postdoctoral Appointees - Job Opportunities

Tenure track in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Applications and nominations are sought for multiple new faculty positions in the Holcombe Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Clemson University .

For tenure-track faculty positions, we are primarily interested in candidates with expertise in optoelectronics, grid computing, peer-to-peer computing, high-performance computing, networking, and software engineering.

Optoelectronic faculty members will be:

i) directly affiliated with the Center for Optical Materials Science and Engineering Technologies (COMSET), ii) an integral part of the ECE undergraduate and graduate programs, and iii) participants in the new interdisciplinary graduate program in Photonics.

Computer engineering faculty members will be:

i) directly affiliated with the CyberInfrastructure Institute, and ii) an integral part of the ECE undergraduate and graduate programs.

A research faculty member with a focus in bioelectronics, bioinstrumentation, or haptics is also sought.

This faculty member will be:

i) directly affiliated with the Clemson University Institute for Biological Interfaces of Engineering, and ii) an integral part of the ECE research programs.

Tenure-track applicants must have an earned doctorate in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related field, a solid record of scholarly research and publication, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Research faculty applicants must have an M.S., or equivalent degree/experience in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with biological experience.

Good writing skills and excellent command of the English language are essential.

The rank of appointment will be commensurate with the level of qualifications.
