Place & Times

The school will take place between June 12th - June 26th, 2010. The school will start at Argonne National Laboratory, Argonne, IL and continue at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, TN after roughly a week. Students will be housed and transportation will be provided from lodging to the school. Lodging accommodations will be available starting June 12th  through June 26th, 2010.  Lectures and hands-on experiments will be held during normal working hours, but some experiments will be conducted during evening sessions.  Social events will be arranged for participants.

Enrollment

Graduate students attending U.S. universities majoring in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related fields.

To the accepted graduate students, the School will provide air transportation from their home institution or their current address. The Argonne Division of Educational Programs will arrange for air travel so that students arrive at the Laboratory on Friday, June 11, 2010 and depart on Sunday June 27th, 2010. Students who travel to Argonne via private automobile will be reimbursed in accordance with Argonne policy. Travel reimbursement will be made only for individuals who reside outside a 50-mile radius of the laboratory. The School will also provide housing at Argonne and Oak Ridge for all School participants, as well as transportation from Argonne National Laboratory to Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
