INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

STUDENT EXCHANGE PROPOSAL

SUBJECT:
Generation of high energy Xray by ultra intense laser

SUMMARY:

The ultra intense laser can acceralate electrons in the plasma to the MeV region. Such an electron can generate high energy Xray by bremsstrahlung in a metal converter. The high energy Xray can be utilized for trace element analysis, positron generation, photonuclear reaction and so on. The successful candidate will analyse the dynamics of the generation mechanism by monte calro code GEANT4, treat experimental results to optimize the conditions, and discuss the applications quantitatively.

REQUIREMENTS:

preferable to have a knowledge of C and C++.
