ANL Research Highlights
During my one-year Postdoc I was involved in developing an agent-based simulation model for analysis of electricity markets. Agent-based modeling and simulation (ABMS) is emerging as a promising tool for developing deeper insights into the complex interactions between engineering and economics in restructured power systems. Argonne is at the forefront of applying ABMS within a number of different problem domains, including electricity markets.

As a regular ANL employee I have continued working on agent-based modeling of electricity markets. Our model is being applied by several companies and agencies, both within the US and internationally. I am also involved in several other projects related to energy economics, including financial assessment of technologies for nuclear hydrogen production and short-term optimization of hydropower operations.
